Blumhouse is inviting fans to submit complaints about the horror movies that traumatized them, promising that “Your trauma is completely valid.” No real lawsuit is being filed, though.
The fine print spells out the terms: “No real lawsuit is being filed. No real legal claims are being made. Your trauma, however, is completely valid and we are prepared to argue that in front of absolutely no one.”

The mock legal pitch promotes Season 2 of its USA Network legal thriller, “The Rainmaker.”
The complaints are real submissions, though. Viewers can file them at bit.ly/blumhouseclaims, and Blumhouse plans to share them on its social accounts. The campaign launched October 23 on the studio’s social channels and in its Blumhouse Atomic Monster newsletter, “The Van.”
Blumhouse Atomic Monster chief marketing officer Karen Barragan said the idea connects the company’s horror audience with its legal drama. Getting the joke approved took some work: “We had to have many, many discussions with lawyers as you can imagine, but it was worth it and we love the result.”
“The Rainmaker” follows underdog attorney Rudy Baylor, played by Milo Callaghan, alongside his boss, Jocelyn “Bruiser” Stone, played by Lana Parrilla, and paralegal Deck Shifflet, played by P.J. Byrne. Season 2’s second episode airs October 23 on USA Network. The series is also available on Prime Video, where it ranked No. 9 across all U.S. content that day.
