I’ve seen more than one review of Vampire Carnival that describes the movie as something like Twilight, but for adults. I would imagine that’s an over-simplification, but that could spark the interest of some viewers.
The story follows Gemma, a young woman who is dealing with the death of her father. She takes her friends Ryan and Olivia up on their invitation to go to a traveling carnival that is in town, and there Gemma runs into multiple guys who catch her eye (including her ex-boyfriend). As the night goes on, the trip of friends are drawn further into the vampiric underbelly of the carnival.
Nell Verlaque (Thanksgiving) stars as Gemma. She’s joined in the main cast by Paulina Chávez, Corrado Martini, Kieron Moore, Elizabeth Sanjuán, Alvise Rigo, and Jason Isaacs.
You can find Vampire Carnival to rent or buy digitally on Prime Video, Apple TV, and more.
