Daisy Ridley will play a woman whose baby may not be human in the horror film Get Rid of It. She and Sosie Bacon play sisters trying to survive a pregnancy with a supernatural threat, with Simon Rex cast as the mysterious stranger at the center of it.
Ridley plays Harper, who becomes pregnant following a one-night stand with Rex’s character, Miller. She and her sister Jessie, played by Bacon, set out across the country. As doubts grow about whether the baby is human, their trip becomes a fight for survival.

Ry Russo-Young will direct from a screenplay by Gemma Holdway. “Propulsive and playful, this project’s strength is its compelling point of view and heart beneath the horror,” Russo-Young said.
Production is planned for early 2027. Upgrade, CAA Media Finance and Range Select are presenting the project to international buyers at the American Film Market. David Lancaster, whose producing credits include Whiplash, Nightcrawler and Drive, is producing.
The role follows Ridley’s turn in Zak Hilditch’s zombie thriller We Bury the Dead. She’s also set to star alongside Johnny Depp in Ti West’s Ebenezer, an adaptation of Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol.
