College seniors taking a trip to a cabin in the woods encounter a dark contagion in the horror comedy Zombois, from writer-director Garrett Abdo. Fangoria exclusively debuted the trailer for the upcoming LGBTQ+ film.
It’s about a group of college seniors heading out to the woods for one last getaway together before they graduate. But the location they’ve chosen holds dark secrets and a mysterious contagion that turns people into “zombois,” monsters that “take what makes you a man, and claim it,” according to the trailer.
The zombois of the trailer do not look or act like traditional movie zombies though. Judging by the trailer, they’re something very different, and stopping them will take a unique approach.
Fangoria wrote that Zombois “mixes horror-comedy with a darker examination of repression, identity, and the consequences of forcing people to hide who they really are.”
The movie stars Brenna D’Amico, Thomas Dekker, Daria Rae Berenato, Aaron Goldenberg, Derek Delafonte, Jonathan Tanigaki, Paul Zenas, Brenna Skalski, and Luke Smith and Tuc Watkins.
The movie is still in post-production, but hopefully we’ll hear more about a release date soon.
