Maika Monroe Says She Would "Love, Love, Love" to Play Lee Harker Again in a Longlegs Sequel

In Longlegs (2024), Monroe played Lee Harker, an FBI agent investigating a disturbing string of murders. It was announced earlier this year that writer/director Osgood Perkins will make another movie in the Longlegs universe, and Nicolas Cage will also return.

It’s unclear whether the movie will be a direct sequel or if it will be something completely different. Considering how Cage’s Longlegs character ended up in the 2024 movie, even more questions about the nature of a potential sequel are raised.

“I would love, love, love,” Monroe said when asked about returning for a Longlegs sequel. “People ask [about] roles that you would want to go back to, and I would love to play Lee again. She was such a joy, and working with Oz and Nic was an absolute dream. So we’ll see.”

Up next for Monroe is Victorian Psycho, in which she plays a murderous governess. The movie is based on the novel of the same title by Virginia Feito, who also wrote the screenplay. Zachary Wigon directed the movie, which will be in theaters November 13.
