Ryan Murphy confirmed the title himself in a Vanity Fair interview, calling it “a vampire tale called Brides of Blood” and framing it as an homage to his grandmother, who loved musicals and Dracula and with whom he had a very close relationship as a child.

Murphy has said he starts shooting in Europe in December, describing it in August as a vampire story about characters he loves from a book and a movie. He didn’t name a network, a logline, or any Dracula connection.

The rest comes from the fan account @AHSZone, which posted that it’s a feminist Dracula reimagining for FX set in the 1800s, following the three wives of Dracula as they and their husband are hunted down. The account describes itself as unaffiliated with FX Networks, and Bleeding Cool credited the 1800s setting and the hunted-wives plot to @AHSZone “and other sources,” not to Murphy.
As of now, no series order, cast list, or official logline has surfaced from FX, Disney, or Murphy himself. It’s worth noting the “weird sisters” in Bram Stoker’s 1897 novel are never actually called wives or brides. And the “feminist reimagining” framing echoes The Brides, Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa’s Dracula pilot that ABC ordered in January 2020 and dropped that June.
