Tricia Helfer (Battlestar Galactica, Primitive War) will star in the erotic body-horror movie Devour as a former figure skater who becomes obsessed with her daughter’s friend, played by Georgia Bradner.

Her fixation leads to the unraveling of her life in “increasingly terrifying and transgressive ways,” according to producers Wildling Pictures.

Elizabeth Adams will play Tricia Helfer’s daughter, and the film will be written and directed by Erica Orofino.

Orofino said in a statement, “I wanted to make a film about self-identity, female sexuality and desires that exist outside our dominant norms or moral codes. I curated this cast carefully and I’m grateful this team came together in the way that it did.”

Tricia Helfer hasn’t done a ton of horror throughout her career, but she was in an episode of Creepshow (season 1, episode 4), an episode of Supernatural (season 2, episode 16), and she played a recurring character in the Van Helsing TV series.

She was also in the 2010 horror movie Open House, which you can watch on Tubi.
