Movies Released Ahead of Schedule

In the time that I’ve been making new-release lists like this, I’ve done a lot of digging. I don’t just rely on widely announced release dates, I dig to find smaller movies that don’t have known release dates and pop up by surprise. It happens every single week. I also regularly come across indie movies that do have release dates set, but for whatever reason Amazon or another platform will begin streaming them too early. I’ve even had filmmakers ask me where I’ve seen their movies because they didn’t know they were out yet.

In the past I’ve put every movie I could confirm as new in the main list, regardless of stated release date. I just assigned the date by when it was actually set live. That becomes an issue when the movie is taken back off the platform after they realize their mistake, causing the link I provide to point to a dead end. So, I’ve decided to add any new movies that I see to be streaming, but have an announced date that doesn’t match the actual date, in a separate section. That way, if the movie ends up being taken down by the platform, then you’ll know why.

TL;DR – The following movies were streaming at the time I posted the links, but they might be taken down because they were probably set live too early.

The Cellar

The stated release date is November 4th, but it was streaming on Amazon in the United States as of this post on October 17th.

The Priest: Thanksgiving Massacre
