In Silt, Tommy Wiseau plays Bartleby, the eccentric owner of a lakeside resort. He sees the land as sacred, and he claims the lake’s waters contain “the genes of the Gods.” A group of friends stay at the lake and soon discover that the water does seem to have some sort of restorative property. But there is something else going on as well. Tensions among the group rise, leading to conflict.
Silt stars Olivia Grace Applegate, Malcolm Goodwin, Andrea Sixtos, David Anders, Krishna Smitha, Vernon Davis, and Tommy Wiseau. Aaron Jay Rome directed the film, which he co-wrote with Tiffany Toney, Isaiah LaBorde, and Vernon Davis.
Silt is using a non-traditional way of trying to get into theaters. If you go to DemandTheScreen . com, you’ll be able to sign up for a campaign that urges theaters in your local area to screen the movie (in a double bill with a film titled Dead Dawn). I’ve never seen Demand the Screen before and don’t know anything about it, so use your own discretion when checking it out.
