The Goriest Movie of 2022 is Now on Amazon Prime
The bedroom scene is among the most disturbing in horror.
Hey Creepy Catalogers,
This week one of the scariest (and DEFINITELY the goriest) movies of 2022 hit Amazon Prime Video. Here’s what I’m watching this weekend:
Terrifier 2 (2022). Streaming on Prime. Art the Clown terrorizes teenagers on Halloween night. The bedroom scene is among the most disturbing in horror. If you’re unfamiliar with the franchise, the original Terrifier (2016) is free (with ads) on Freevee. Writer/director Damian Leone has teased an eventual Terrifier 3.
Living with Chucky (2023). Streaming on Screambox. For everyone who grew up with the Child’s Play movies, this documentary dives deep into the franchise and it’s impact on horror fans, cast and crew. Read the Creepy Catalog review here.
Event Horizon (1997). Streaming on Prime. A sci-fi horror movie about a crew sent to investigate the reappearance of a lost spaceship. This is my second favorite horror movie starring Sam Neil.
This week in horror:
- The final trailer for Evil Dead Rise (2023) is out.
- Shrek 5 is happening. (And possibly an HBO x Harry Potter series).
- We talked about movies with the “other parent” trope.
- McKaley Miller talked to us about You’re Killing Me (2023), a horror thriller now in theaters and VOD.
- A first look at Ari Aster’s new film Beau is Afraid (2023).
Happy streaming and stay spooky!
