The write-ups for Chimp Outbreak aren’t very descriptive other than what is described in the movie’s title. A chimp breaks free and starts attacking people. The trailer gives a little more insight, showing a couple trying to rescue the chimpanzee from some sort of facility. Then it escapes from them and attacks some other people.
I’m sure the movie was inspired by Primate.
Chimp Outbreak was directed by Rowland Cutts from a screenplay by Tom Jolliffe. Fara Boyce, Helen Fullerton, Maddy Stephenson, and Mark Wilkinson star.
I couldn’t find an exact date for its U.S. streaming release, but I believe it was around October 16 (which is when I found it). You can currently rent and buy Chimp Outbreak digitally on Prime Video and Fandango at Home.
