Scream Queen Jennifer Tilly Is Joining the Cast of ‘Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’
This is a delicious treat for well-rounded fans of both Bravo shows and horror movies
Jennifer Tilly has signed on to be a cast member for season fourteen of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Tilly is an Academy Award-nominated actress well-known to horror fans as Tiffany Valentine in the Child’s Play franchise. She has portrayed the character in Bride of Chucky (1998), Seed of Chucky (2004), Curse of Chucky (2013), Cult of Chucky (2017) and in the Chucky (2021–present) television series. Tilly has a prolific filmography and is also known for her steamy role as a femme fatale in Bound (1996).
In addition to acting, Tilly was the first celebrity to win a bracelet at the World Series of Poker.
Tilly is cast as a “friend of” on Beverly Hills, a supporting role which means Tilly will be a frequent presence, but it is unlikely her personal drama will take center stage. She has previously appeared on the show as a friend of cast member (and American Ballet Theatre board member) Sutton Stracke. Tilly and Stracke have been friends for a decade, resulting in Stracke making an appearance on the Chucky television series.
A fan of the show, Tilly has briefly waded into the RHOBH drama on another Watch What Happens Live appearance while promoting the Chucky series premiere. She said, “I think Kyle [Richards] instigates fights… Don’t @ me Kyle!”
Tilly won’t be the first Scream Queen to be on Real Housewives of Beverly Hills. Since the show is set in Los Angeles, a number of horror actors have appeared:
Longtime cast member Kyle Richards played Angie in Eaten Alive (1976), little Lindsey Wallace in Halloween (1978) and more recently reprised her role in Halloween Kills (2021) and Halloween Ends (2022). As a child actor she was in many projects her sister, former RHOBH cast member Kim Richards, was hired for. A fun movie fact is that Kim’s upsetting death in John Carpenter’s action thriller Assault on Precinct 13 (1976) generated so much controversy with the MPAA (because it depicted the bloody death of a child) he intentionally used almost no gore in Halloween (1978).
The third Richards sister, cast member Kathy Hilton, was also a child actress and as far as horror-adjacent roles, she appeared in one episode of Bewitched (1971).
Another cast member, Garcelle Beauvais is a prolific television actress who has one horror movie credit: as an FBI agent in I Know Who Killed Me (2007).
Former cast member Eileen Davidson played Vicki in The House on Sorority Row (1982).
Former cast member Denise Richards had an appearance in Scary Movie 3 (2003), an incredible hot tub murder scene in Valentine (2000) and starred with Mischa Barton in the supernatural horror movie The Toybox (2018).
Former cast member Lisa Rinna appeared on season three of American Horror Stories in the episode “Tapeworm”.
Through Kyle’s enduring friendship with Jamie Lee Curtis, the Scream Queen has also appeared on RHOBH to host a lunch for her company (which supports Children’s Hospital Los Angeles), My Hand in Yours. Though Curtis says she has never watched an episode of Real Housewives, she appreciated the comically warm reception she received from the other ladies. Curtis also made an appearance on the season’s reunion to announce that her appearance on the show was the biggest day in My Hand in Yours’ history and to promote the (then) upcoming Halloween Ends (2022).
In the same way that you guys [the Bravo housewives] have a huge fanbase, that’s how horror fans are. And I feel their love.

These candid moments from horror actors have been a delicious treat for well-rounded fans of both Bravo shows and horror movies. We’re hopping the addition of Jennifer Tilly gives us some fun behind-the-scenes Chucky tidbits and perhaps appearances by other Scream Queens. Dare we hope for a Real Scream Queens of Los Angeles spin-off?
The fourteenth season of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will begin airing on Bravo in late 2024 or early 2025.
