The Wailing (2016). Streaming on Netflix. Celebrate Father’s Day this weekend with our curated horror movie marathon on Netflix. First on the list is this bloody Korean horror movie about a father’s love for his daughter and an investigation into a supernatural string of murders.

Firestarter (1984). Streaming on Netflix. Another great Father’s Day horror movie on Netflix, and this one doesn’t have subtitles. Firestarter is an 80s Stephen King thriller with a young Drew Barrymore as a young girl with pyrokinesis. David Keith plays the girl’s father, who will stop at nothing to keep her safe.

Clickbait: Unfollowed (2014). Streaming on Tubi. Influencers gather at a mansion for a competition in which whoever gains the most followers wins. However, in this competition getting “eliminated” has a twisted double meaning.

Practical Magic (1998). Streaming on Max. In honor of this romantic fantasy drama getting a sequel, enjoy the original for the first (or 200th) time. Sandra Bullock and Nicole Kidman star as sisters in a family of witches. An ancient curse means that when a woman in the family falls in love, the object of her affection will die.

Joko Anwar’s Nightmares and Daydreams (2024). Streaming on Netflix. This is a supernatural sci-fi series of seven “mind-bending” stories by writer/director Joko Anwar.
