Here are the best horror movies streaming the weekend of 5/19/23:

Project Wolf Hunting (2022). Streaming on Screambox. An epic South Korean action-horror movie that fans have been calling “Con Air on a boat”. This extremely gory film follows a group of prisoners being moved on a cargo ship from the Philippines to South Korea. However, the fight between the prisoners and the cops on board is only the beginning of what happens in Project Wolf Hunting, read our full explainer here.

Sleeping Beauties (2023). Streaming on Tubi. A new Tubi original following a pregnant widow who takes a job at an isolated mansion. The woman tries to summon the spirit of her deceased husband but accidentally awakens other spirits in the mansion. This looks like a fun, albeit formulaic, haunted house movie.

Outpost (2023). In theaters and VOD. A woman recovering from experiencing domestic violence decides to heal by taking an isolated position as a fire lookout. Alone in mountains, the woman feels safe until she realizes her ex has gone missing. Convinced he will come to get her, she becomes paranoid and desperate to protect herself.

Consecration (2023). Streaming on VOD. Jena Malone stars in this suspenseful horror movie as Grace, a woman who goes to a convent in search of answers after her brother’s sudden death. At the convent, things are not as they appear and the woman learns a disturbing secret about her past. Fans of creepy religious horror movies should check this one out.
